Address axes are defined in an address schema in order to define the boundaries of adjoining zones, such as quadrants (northwest, northeast southeast, southwest, and northwest). Address numbers rise as you move away from the axis. Therefore, the test looks for gaps that cross the centerline between adjacent Address Number Ranges.</p>
